Ensemble, ils façonnent un dark rock magnétique et cinématographique, oscillant selon les humeurs vers une "new old wave", et donnent naissance à un album au titre évocateur : "Life Wasn't What It Was Supposed To Be".

Born from a deep musical desire, The Heartkhivist draws its essence from the life experiences of its founder, Didier D., a graphic designer by profession, whose musical world has been shaped by a wide range of influences, from 1960s and 1970s rock (The Doors, Black Sabbath, Jefferson Airplane, Neil Young...) to metal, as well as industrial rock, new wave, pop, soul, jazz and film music.

The project came to life when he began singing and writing his own songs, before fully taking shape through his encounter with two talented musicians, Thierry S. and Didier L. Together, they create a magnetic and cinematic dark rock sound, sometimes shifting, depending on the mood, towards a “new old wave”, and gave birth to an album with an evocative title: “Life Wasn't What It Was Supposed To Be”.
